Dog Grooming in Columbus, OH That Fits Real-Life Pet Care Needs
Bathing and Coat Care
Why coat maintenance matters
Coat condition directly affects comfort. When hair becomes tangled, overly dense, or neglected for too long, dogs can end up dealing with pulling, trapped debris, excess shedding, or skin irritation that could have been reduced with regular care.
Nail Trimming and Routine Maintenance
Common reasons owners schedule maintenance grooming
- Nails are getting too long
- The coat is starting to feel heavy or unkempt
- The dog needs a fresh clean-up between full appointments
- The owner wants to keep up with hygiene and comfort year-round
Why Owners Choose Lucky Bones for Grooming Appointments
One Location for Multiple Care Needs
Convenience matters. Many clients appreciate being able to handle grooming while also planning for daycare, boarding, or training. If your dog benefits from more activity and social time during the week, pairing grooming with daycare can make scheduling easier. If you are preparing for travel, adding grooming before or after boarding can also help your dog come home clean and comfortable.
Support for Different Breeds and Coat Types
Common dog profiles that benefit from regular grooming
- Long-haired breeds that tangle easily
- Dogs with heavier seasonal shedding
- Active dogs that get dirty quickly
- Dogs that need nails maintained on a consistent schedule
- Owners who want one trusted local provider for ongoing care

Leah
Hello, my name is Leah.
After graduating high school as a certified dental assistant, grooming kind of “fell into my lap”. I started at a grooming salon as a bather, and quickly after learning the ins and outs of bathing, the owner and still good friend, asked me if I wanted to learn how to groom. (Of course!) I did an apprenticeship under her and learned everything I know today. I started at Lucky bones in August of 2020, and it has taken my grooming career down its own path. My main focus is to build a relationship with not only your pets, but you. As a pet parent my self (to a schnauzer, and 2 frenchies), I understand the importance of creating and having a good connection for the pets best interest. I look forward to meeting you and your pet.
Amber
Hello, I’m Amber,
I’ve been working with animals since I was 15 years old, beginning at a small kennel. I worked at a local vet’s office for 14 years as a vet assistant and started the learning the process for grooming. I was grooming on my own for a year, then left to try other options (warehouses) but found that wasn’t for me.
I came to lucky bones in 2014;and have worked as a kennel assistant ,floor lead, receptionist, bather and grooming off & on for 8 years.
I like working with all animals and I do a lot of in-home pet care, grooming and training.
Crystal
Hi, my name is Crystal!
I began grooming in early 2024 taking a few courses in High School. I was then trained by a Master Groomer, Michelle whom recently retired from Lucky Bones. I have been with Lucky Bones since September of 2021 and I’m looking forward to this wonderful adventure ahead of me with all of these amazing fur babies. I make sure to treat every single one of my client’s dogs like my own with the love and patience they need and require. My favorite dogs to groom are double coated dogs with a lot of undercoat but I also have a lot of experience with all breeds and hair types. I’m a very passionate animal lover with a chihuahua of my own. I would love the opportunity to get to know you as a client and provide my services to your fur baby.
